Born in South Korea and raised in France, Mathis Joubert is a French creative director and choreographer developing work at the intersection of dance, live entertainment and contemporary culture.
His artistic language combines the precision, musicality and theatricality of Ballet with the raw physicality of Breaking, expanding beyond traditional dance into original productions, fashion, film and large-scale live experiences.
With more than a decade of international experience as a professional dancer and movement artist, his career has taken him across Europe, the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East, performing on stages including the Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, Guggenheim Museum, Vail Dance Festival, Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and atop the Eiffel Tower.
Today, his work is centered on creative direction, choreography and the development of original productions, bringing together movement, music, visual identity and storytelling to create experiences for international stages, brands and new audiences.
